Carbon Bridge has experience with emission reduction projects in countries across the Asia Pacific Region, including Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Papua New Guinea. We have experience with biogas, solar, wind, hydro, biomass, landfill gas and waste heat power projects. We were an early pioneer of the Gold Standard, arranging the first Gold Standard projects in Laos, Cambodia and Papua New Guinea. We co-ordinated Cambodia's first CERs to be issued; and arranged 2 out of the first 4 projects in Thailand to receive issuance of CERs.
We choose to work on project types and locations that are under-represented in the carbon market and have been successful in raising the level of participation of projects in these areas. We ensured the Registration of the first wind farm in Vietnam which was only the 4th project to be Registered in the country. Our Univanich Lamthap Biogas project is the first Registered Gold Standard palm oil project in Asia and the first Registered CDM palm oil biogas project in Thailand.
Carbon Bridge has experience in all the main carbon regimes, including the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol, the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Gold Standard certification.
